On September 26, 2019, 100 plus people came to celebrate and make a difference in someone’s life by supporting Engineers Without Borders at our our annual year-end gala, SFari!

The day before, I presented on EWB and our team’s El Llanito, Nicaragua water supply project to the Rotary Club of Livermore:

The talk is here:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1A4FFNh9duvF0sKqtf5sY1IYYX3h5FSTS/view?usp=sharing

All proceeds from the SFari event will go directly to our projects in Haiti, Kenya, Fiji, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Ethiopia.

We enjoyed a night of great food, music and fun with a DJ and a full cash bar as well as a silent auction and raffle. Volunteer teams were available to talk to people and share more about the work we do in partnership with communities around the world.

There were items from restaurants, wineries, breweries, the zoo, and much more in our silent auction and raffle along with gift baskets put together by each of our project teams, with goodies reflecting their partner communities.

Thanks for all who supported it, including our generous corporate sponsors. For the El Llanito team, thanks to Cal Water and Topcon for their generous sponsorships.

Visit our website (www.ewb-sfp.org) for more information about our chapter and the project teams.

Thanks for helping us build a better world!

Hayley Farr again posted a great set of photos:
